100 Doraemon Secret Gadgets Expo in Johor Bahru City Square, Malaysia

Why Hello There My Friends! Guess what? Last Thursday, my mom and I went to visit the '100 Doraemon Secret Gadgets Expo in Johor Bahru City Square, Malaysia! Absolutely excellent and interesting exhibition we have ever visited. We spent an awesome deal of time walking around and taking pictures with life-sized Doraemon figures.

Alright guys, without further ado, let's unravel Doraemon secret gadgets, shall we?

THE FUN & HAPPINESS

Running from 30 August 2014 until 4 January 2015, the exhibition showcases 100 Doraemon figures with 100 different pieces of Doraemon secret gadgets. This exhibition is located on level 1.

At the entrance, we showed our tickets, entered and greeted by a life-sized original Doraemon.
Yeap, Doraemon used to be yellow with a pair of ears. Cute!

Wanna know how he lost his ears and hue?
Alright, let me tell you a little story about Doraemon.....

Doraemon! Mmm...hmmmm....... A robotic cat that came from the 22nd century with a 4D pocket that able to produce all kinds unique gadgets, tools and medicines from the future. He was sent back to the past by Sewashi to save his great great grandfather named Nobita Nobi from being bullied by Gian and Suneo.

So how did Doraemon lost his ears? Well, sad to say that his ears were eaten by some robot mice. Sewashi-san sent Doraemon to hospital and the robot Doctor removed Doraemon's ears completely but still can hear perfectly. That's the reason why Doraemon hates and really afraid of mice.

What caused his body hue to change from yellow to blue?
Well, he accidently drank sorrow potion instead of the cheer-up potion and that made him cried non-stop for 3 days and 3 nights. As he cried for so long, his original yellow hue faded to blue and his voice turned coarse. Well, Doraemon still look adorable in blue hue without ears. Yeap.. absolutely adorable!

So now guys, let's see some pictures taken during the visit.

See, I believe I can fly! Mmm... hmmm.....

EARLY DINNER & MOCHA TIME

After a long day walking around the exhibition, our big fat bellies started to growl, so we went up to Dapurkita Food Mall on level 6. In Dapurkita, we were spoilt for choice and we ended up with way too much interesting food and drinks on our table. We ordered the following seriously delicious food and drinks:-
  • Lontong Kering - Lontong (Boiled Compressed Rice), Mixed Vegetables, Beef Rendang & Serunding (Spicy Sauteed Grated Coconut).
  • Black Pepper Chicken Mushroom Noodle
  • Sardine filled Curry Puff
  • Curry Bao
  • Fish & Chips
  • Teh Halia or Ginger Tea
  • Coca Cola & Coke Light

After our filling dinner, we sat by a beautiful pond filled with Koi fishes surrounded with plants, big rocks and pumpkins. This relaxing yard is located on level 6. The best spot to laze around, chit chat with friends, admire the koi fishes or take pictures with pumpkins.

After that, we decided to hop over to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (located on level 1), and enjoyed our Mocha Ice Blended.

THE GOODIES & LOVES

We bought some yummy breads from Lavender and Season Cake shop.
I also bought Cleo Magazine Malaysia October 2014 issue.

Last but not least, my mom bought these goodies for me.
I am definitely going to repurpose the candy tin into a coin saving bank.

How to turn Old Curtains into a Tablecloth

I was out shopping and sashayed down the tablecloth aisle. A tablecloth that quite similar to my mom's old curtains caught my eye, so did the price $200.  Nah, I'm not going to fork out that kind of money just to get one tablecloth.  So I've got an idea!  I went back home and turned my mom's old curtains into a tablecloth.  I love how it turned out, so I wanted to share it with you.
